Federico Mazzucco

Born in 1989, he began studying violin at the age of 5 at the Suzuki Talent Center in Turin under the guidance of Mo Lee Robert Mosca. He then continued his studies with the Mo Francesco Cerrato and in 2008 he obtained his diploma as a privatist at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Turin. Subsequently, he continued his training at the Hochschule fur Musik in Basel (CH) with Prof. Barbara Doll, obtaining the Master of Arts in Musikalischer Performance in 2016.

For the 2015/2016 season he wins the Orchesterpraktikum at the Berner Symphonieorchester.

In the orchestral field he collaborates with companies such as: Orchestra of the “Arturo Toscanini Foundation” of Parma, Orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theater of Genoa, Orchestra of the Opera Foundation of Rome, Orchestra of the Petruzzelli Foundation, Philharmonic ‘900 of the Teatro Regio of Turin, Orchestra of the Festival Pucciniano di Torre del Lago, Symphony Orchestra of the Aosta Valley.

During the two years he spent in Switzerland he also dedicated himself to the study of the viola under the guidance of Prof. Genevi√®ve Strosser. As a violist he collaborates with the aforementioned symphony orchestras and in various chamber music formations, in particular with the cellist Marco Decimo and with the baroque ensemble “l’Armoniosa”. With this last training he took part in November 2014 in the recording of the integral of “La Stravaganza” Op.4 by Antonio Vivaldi for the German label MDG Musikprodution and in a specialization course at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under the guidance of Reinhard Goebel (Musica Antiqua Koln).

As a tutor for chamber music he plays the role of assistant to Maestro Marco Decimo in eight different editions of the Perinaldo Festival from 2010 to 2018.

In 2013 he also collaborated with the famous pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, with whom he performed in some of the most important concert halls in the world such as the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Barbican in London, the Town Hall in New York and the Warfield Theater in San Francisco.

In the meantime, he continued his university studies obtaining the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the Polytechnic of Turin in 2013 and ending the double degree project of the ASP (High Polytechnic School).
